Bio: Brenton Meynell is a multi-faceted artist whose creative journey spans music, art, the environment, and spirituality. With a musical career starting at a young age, Brenton has honed his craft in various bands for over 25 years. Now, under the banner of Brenton Meynell Project (BMP), he brings forth a culmination of his diverse creative identities.
BMP took form after Brenton Meynell had the incredible opportunity to perform his first original composition with Steve Vai and his band in New York in August 2019. This transformative experience fueled his passion for pushing boundaries and exploring new sonic landscapes.
Drawing inspiration from influential artists such as Elder, Devin Townsend, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Pink Floyd, Stone Temple Pilots, and the captivating Indian flare of Krishna Das, Brenton Meynell skillfully blends elements of ambient, progressive rock, world music, and more. The guitar serves as the vessel for emotive melodies, intricate textures, and blistering solos that pay homage to the guitar virtuosos who have shaped Brenton's musical journey.
